There are five mandatory modules, totalling 21 credits, that make up the core of this qualification. These are:
Unit 1 – Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Unit 2 – Delivering education and training
Unit 3 – Using resources for education and training
Unit 4 – Assessing learners in education and training
Unit 5 – Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training
There is then an additional 15+ credits to complete the qualification. Crosby Management Training (CMT) will liaise with the trainee teacher to determine which modules will be used to gain these credits.
The practical component is a vital aspect of the qualification and all applicants must be able to provide evidence that they have the ability to acquire a minimum of 30 hours of experience in a teaching role prior to joining the course.
