All Apprenticeships are employer-led and are the responsibility of the employer, with support of training providers. The employer will normally provide induction training; manage the employee, including performance management reviews; conduct monthly 1-2-1s; provide support; provide shadowing opportunities, coaching, and mentoring; agree scope and content of an L&D project; provide ongoing and final feedback; co-operate with the requirement for 20% of the Apprentices’ time to be spent ‘off the job’ learning related to the L&D Apprenticeship Standard.
CMT will provide initial advice and guidance, clarify roles and responsibilities, agree a timetable, complete relevant apprentice paperwork, identify learning gaps, deliver training, monitor progress, provide learner support, provide feedback, agree scope and content of project, register with appropriate bodies, prepare the Apprentice for the formal End Point Assessment (EPA) and claim the final Apprenticeship qualification certificate.
Course dates and locations will be planned by CMT which will be driven by demand. Please contact us to register your interest, or formally apply to join a Learning Set by completing our enrolment form.
For larger employers, this Apprenticeship will be funded through your Digital Apprenticeship Account – for smaller employers, not subject to the Apprenticeship Levy, the Apprenticeship will be funded 95% by the government and 5% by the employer. Costs for the End Point Assessment are paid through the overall Levy funding (up to 20% of the total Apprenticeship cost).
The funding CAP will be £7000. For more information on the funding CAP, contact CMT.
There is no mandatory qualification within the apprenticeship, however, apprentices wishing to complete an additional CIPD Qualification can choose to complete either the CIPD Intermediate Certificate (extra £1,250) or the CIPD Intermediate Diploma (extra £1,750) in Learning and Development. Successful completion will lead to Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Option to take part in a 3-day residential event (an additional charge applies for accommodation which cannot be Government funded).
“[what did you get most value from in your programme?] Lots! I instantly get to putting learning into practice which to me is the most important thing. I enjoyed the workshops and webinars to learn about L&D in other businesses. I feel the apprenticeship will open doors with my current employer, but also other L&D avenues should I choose to work somewhere else.”
“Crosby Management Training have been a great provider for my L&D Level 5 apprenticeship. The enrolment was detailed and in depth and the workshops are valuable, well facilitated and a great place to share ideas, challenges and best practice.
The apprenticeship is very self-driven which is ideal, but tutors are easily contactable to provide guidance and direction as required, while the frequent progress reviews ensure everything is on track and provide further suggestion for learning.
My most daunting aspect throughout has been the learning journal and the total number of required hours, but with the support provided this has been not only manageable, but a great motivational and learning tool.”
“I bumped into Matt Field, who had just had a review with Neil – He was absolutely buzzing about it and felt it went really well, just wanted to share the joy!”
“Safe to say I had a fantastic week at the CROSBY MANAGEMENT TRAINING LTD residential in Snowdonia! This really was a #EXPERIENCE and all part of my learning and development apprenticeship with them!… So glad I went, the 3 days were challenging yet rewarding! Our team went gauge walking, navigation walking/hiking and undertook general team activities. #resilience # flexibility #responsiveness” “If anyone gets the opportunity to do something like this, I would highly recommend it! Thanks to the guides at Blue Peris Mountain Centre, Crosby and my fellow learners for making it one to remember!”
