"[what did you get most value from in your programme?] Lots! I instantly get to putting learning into practice which to me is the most important thing. I enjoyed the workshops and webinars to learn about L&D in other businesses. I feel the apprenticeship will open doors with my current employer, but also other L&D avenues should I choose to work somewhere else."

Established in 1997, we are recognised as a leading training provider delivering high quality apprenticeships, qualifications and consultancy. We specialise in delivering a range of HR and L&D apprenticeships, qualifications and training and have been an approved CIPD centre for over 20 years. Our professional trainers have a wealth of experience, being highly practiced in their field and most having held senior positions in a range of organisations spanning the private, public and third sector.
Turbo-boosting your career with development that sticks!
At CMT, we passionately believe in delivering training via a blended approach, so our Apprenticeships and CIPD programmes encompass a variety of delivery modes to aid transfer of learning to the workplace.
Our Apprenticeship programmes include face to face workshops where our Apprentices can network with like-minded professionals – we even ask employers if they’d like to host the odd workshop to showcase how the role looks in their own environment! We also include webinars, guided learning, a unique 3-day residential in Snowdonia and our Learning Pathway (for HR Apprenticeships) to deliver an engaging and effective experience.
You may be interested to know that our expert tutors are CIPD-qualified and all come from the commercial world in their respective disciplines, ensuring that when you ask a question, you receive a pragmatic and real-world (not textbook/academic) view!
Our CIPD programmes can be expertly delivered by way of guided learning, free webinars and assignments, or dependent upon your experience and motivation, we may take an evidence-based approach, assisting you in simply evidencing what you already know. We might even invite you to attend our apprentice workshops (where relevant) at an additional cost in order to supplement your learning and allow you to network with others.

What do our Learners have to say?
I find that the workshops are really useful as this was something I was looking for when choosing a potential provider - I am not a fan of distance learning. It also allows you to meet other learners from other companies to learn from their experiences. I also really liked the idea of the Residential in Snowdonia; this is certainly a USP for Crosby and found this to be a great networking opportunity due to the groups being a mix of differing levels and disciplines (HR). Completing this course is part of my succession planning and on completion should aid my development in my career and gain a promotion
Workshops have been beneficial in seeing other organisations and how HR is different in each of them e.g. business sector, organisation size. The networking is great, and I hope to keep in touch with my cohort in the future. Also, the residential was great fun, challenging and informative. I feel that the workshops and assignments have required me to research and learn new things. I have been able to implement my findings to my company in different areas and feel more confident in answering queries and helping support employees and management. I hope that by the end of my apprenticeship, I am knowledgeable and confident enough to continuously improve HR within my company.
I am really enjoying the workshops as it is a really helpful way of learning. Workshops are also beneficial as you get to meet many others from different industries, and you get to learn how things differ in each workplace which is really interesting. I also enjoy my Catchups with my tutor (Carolyn). We have a great bond and she really does help should I ever have any questions or concerns.
"I have learnt so much about HR and it has opened my eyes to the other areas that I can work in in the future or other projects that I can get involved in. The practical sessions and progress review meetings are the most valuable and helpful to me in terms of my development and learning, though I did really enjoy the residential from a networking perspective."
Following Coaching and Mentoring course 2015:
"By investing in your staff, they will invest in you! This interactive and practical business course proved just that. It was led by a fantastic and experienced tutor who in one day taught us the principles and value behind one to ones with employees, developing staff, coaching styles and choosing mentees, to mention just a few. I would highly recommend this course to all businesses."
