This qualification is for anyone working in the Education and Training Sector (ETS) who is responsible for the safeguarding of others.
This qualification is made up of units each representing a small step of learning. This allows the qualification to be completed at the learner’s own pace.
No, there is no final exam to successfully complete this qualification. Instead, various assessment methods will be used to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of the Prevent duty and safeguarding, including online safety.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care.
An ETS employer would benefit from this as the colleagues that they have complete this course would have an increased understanding and awareness of their role in the safeguarding of the learners that they are responsible for.
It may support progression toward the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated trainer who will work with them throughout the programme. Crosby Management Training will provide learners with guidance, learning interventions, feedback and support.
Learners wishing to complete the qualification can commence programme at any point throughout the year. Enrolment onto programme will be dependent on learner location and delivery method.
