This qualification builds on the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice and is aimed at further expanding learners’ independent practice to enable them to evolve into more senior roles within organisations as people professionals.
It is suited to individuals who:
▪ are aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in learning and development
▪ are working in a people practice role and wish to extend their knowledge and skills to help shape organisational learning and development.
▪ are working towards or working in a learning and development role
18 – 24 months dependent on experience, prior learning and personal circumstance.

There are no exams in the Associate CIPD Qualification
This qualification extends and fosters a deeper level of understanding and application and naturally progresses learners’ expertise in people practice.
Learners’ work will be mainly operational with some complexity. They will contribute to the thinking around their work, analysing information to inform organisational learning and its future capability. Creating learning environments and supporting employees to continuously develop will create motivation and value through impactful learning.
Completion of the course is aligned to associate member of the CIPD.
Learners completing this qualification will have a greater breadth of knowledge and an understanding of key organisational learning and development principles including but not limited to organisational performance and culture, evidence-based practice, professional behaviours and valuing people, supporting self-directed and social learning, learning and development design to create value and facilitation of personalised and performance focussed learning.
In addition, the learner will select an area to specialise in.
This qualification is ideal if you are looking to move into the role of L&D Consultant / Business Partner, L&D Specialist or Training Manager or to formalise your existing experience with a qualification in learning and development.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated trainer who will work with them throughout the programme.
CMT will provide learners with learning materials, run tutorials, provide skype/email/face to face support throughout the learners’ qualification.
There may be a requirement for learners to attend workshops either virtually or in-person to enable completion of the CIPD set assessments.
CMT will provide detailed feedback on assessments to all learners.
Learners completing qualifications can commence the programme at any point throughout the year, but enrollment will depend on learner location and delivery method.
The Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development involves the completion of 7 CIPD units totalling 42 credits. The total qualification time, which includes guided learning hours and your personal research is 420 hours.
