Advanced qualifications provide a depth of knowledge alongside the opportunity to specialise in chosen areas of expertise. You will learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions.
This qualification further extends the disciplines and scope learned in the CIPD Level 5 Associate diploma and is aimed at intensifying the learners’ autonomy and judgement so that they can strategically lead and direct organisations and their people.
It is suited to individuals who:
▪ are experienced people practitioners
▪ are working in a senior people practice role and wish to extend and deepen their skills and understanding to shape strategy, policy and people
▪ wish to shape people practice, creating value for a wider audience
▪ are currently leading and managing people and practice within organisations.
Over 24 months dependent on experience, prior learning and personal circumstance.

There are no exams in the Advanced Diploma CIPD Qualification
This qualification galvanises learners with a depth and breadth of understanding of people practice and management to furnish them with the insight and strategy development skills required to operate and lead in an organisational setting at this level.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners with the relevant professional experience can apply for chartered membership of the CIPD.
Learners completing this qualification will have the opportunity to tailor their qualification by selecting an area of specialism needed to maximise organisation performance.
The core elements of this qualification increase knowledge and understanding of work and working lives in a changing environment, people management and development strategies, personal effectiveness and business acumen and business research in people practice.
Three additional specialist units focus on the strategic people management area, strategic employment relations, resourcing and talent management, and strategic reward management.
An area of expertise is then chosen to broaden knowledge and understanding of key principles in either organisational design and development, advanced employment law practice, learning and development practice, technology-enhanced learning, advanced diversity and inclusion, managing people in an international context or wellbeing at work.
This qualification is ideal for those currently working within HR looking for formal qualifications to go alongside the current experience.
This qualification may support those currently working in roles such as HR Manager, Head of HR or HR Director roles or those aspiring to progress to these roles after completing an intermediate level CIPD qualification.
Learners will be allocated a dedicated trainer who will work with them throughout the programme.
CMT will provide learners with learning materials, run tutorials, provide skype/email/face to face support throughout the learners’ qualification.
There may be a requirement for learners to attend workshops either virtually or in-person to enable completion of the CIPD set assessments.
CMT will provide detailed feedback on assessments to all learners.
Learners completing qualifications can commence the programme at any point throughout the year, but enrolment onto the programme will be dependent on learner location and delivery method.
The Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management involves the completion of 8 CIPD units totalling 120 credits. The total qualification time, which includes guided learning hours and your personal research is 1200 hours.
