Employers
Employing an apprentice benefits businesses by providing fresh talent, upskilling the workforce, and receiving financial support from the government. This creates a win-win situation for both the business and the apprentice.

Frequently asked questions
Changes happen, and the majority of the time Crosby can offer feedback and guidance on changes that may be happening within the organisation, that are affecting the apprentices on programme.
For example, if an apprentice is having a change of role or department, our team can work with you to make sure the apprenticeship still fits the competencies of the role. Alternatively, our team can work with you to understand the next steps.
If an apprentice changes Line Manager during their time on programme, the newly appointed line manager should provide the support to the apprentice, such as attending the reviews and allowing the apprentice to complete OTJ Hours.
Employers must have a “Digital Apprenticeship Service Account”. This allows Crosby to draw down funding from the levy/funding pot.
At the start of the apprenticeship, all employers must complete and approve their account, following the guided steps, to allow the apprenticeship training to begin.

Your commitment as an employer
Employer support is crucial.
This may be in the form of attending apprentice Progress Reviews or Employer Relationship Meetings. An inactive employer could result in a longer duration for apprentices.
Crosby helps provide a wider understanding of apprenticeships to all employers. Whether this may be from minimum apprentice wage, to minimum working hours, the Crosby team will help support and widen the understanding of the employer.
